My wife hates it, but I could listen to rap/hip hop the rest of my life and be content. It probably has a lot to do with it being my music of choice from the time I was in middle school until I finished college. Unfortunately, today’s rap music (I am using hip hop and rap interchangeably here because I don’t really know the difference) is not worth listening to because of the vulgarity, ridiculousness, anti-manhood and anti-truth messages that it often presents.
Thankfully, for someone like myself who loves rap music and Jesus, there has been a great resurgence of Reformed Christian Hip Hop music. If you like rap like me, but can’t stand the filth, then check out these guys:
